From 1949 to the early naughties Murray Walker really has been the true legend of motor racing commentary. We caught up with him at the Silverstone Classic race meeting last weekend, where he was signing and selling his current book “Murray Walker Scrapbook”. Newer still is Stirling Moss’s version “Stirling Moss Scrapbook” from Porter Press. Stirling had already left, but we got a 60 second voxpop from Murray, describing his book, what’s in it, and a potted history of his career. He really is a true pro and having been told he had 60 seconds stopped, unrehearsed with just a few seconds to go. Listen to him here by clicking on the mp3 link below. It’s so great to hear his unique voice and style again. Thank you Murray!

Outside the tent Rob Schulp was doing a sales pitch for the book and drawing in the crowds in such an enthusiastic way that we thought we’d share his pitch with you!
If you are convinced and want to buy the book order it online over at www.porterpress.co.uk
Update: we hope to bring you Stirling Moss’s version next month
